Former BBC Advisers Face Members of Parliament's Inquiry After Claims of Partiality in Unauthorized Memo

Ex- British Broadcasting Corporation consultants appearing at parliamentary committee

We start with queries from Conservative lawmaker the committee chair, who chairs the committee.

She commences by providing details to the unauthorized memorandum authored by Michael Prescott and printed in the Telegraph.

"It is not my wish for the BBC tilting in any particular direction, My only wish is for it straight, impartial and just," he states.

When asked whether he thinks the BBC is structurally prejudiced, he answers: "Absolutely not. It is important to note, a great deal the BBC creates is world class - both factual and entertainment shows."

But he adds: "There is significant effort that requires attention at the British Broadcasting Corporation."

Another ex-adviser BBC specialist questioned by the group, Caroline Daniel, states she views the BBC very seriously and that it operates a "ongoing system and lively discussion" regarding fluid and multifaceted topics.

"Was the BBC willing to have a genuine discussion and debate and implement changes?" she asks herself. "As I see it, yes they were."
