The Streaming Giant Casts Perfect Actor for Bon Clay in One Piece Season 3

The Secret Organization is set to play a huge role in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, even if the true confrontation won’t take place until the next season, and a cherished, popular member has just been cast.

Netflix announced Tuesday that the skilled actor has joined the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Mr. 2. Bon Clay has the ability to morph into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve made contact with with their dominant hand. The actor, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will play a rendition of that role reimagined as gender non-binary, instead of as a drag queen, in the live-action show, unlike the initial comic and cartoon version.

The new cast member will work alongside a number of fresh additions set to bring the group to life, including head the main antagonist, portrayed by the seasoned performer, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and a familiar face, who is also part of the lineup as the ruler of Alabasta.

Even though Bon Clay is a key figure of the organization, the persona will be introduced in One Piece season 3. Given season 2 likely to portray the Little Garden arc, this represents a significant shift in the timing of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could suggest more adjustments to the story’s structure.

Escola’s blend of precise humor and profound feeling makes them a perfect fit for the part. Along with their current animated role in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and several accolades for creating and performing in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the versatility they’ll add to one of One Piece’s most celebrated characters.

The platform’s adapted One Piece series is set to return for its next installment on March 10th, 2026.
